Grant Application

The Foundation provides grants that generate a lasting impact and transformative results on those served.

Requests for general support to expand or sustain operations and project support to enhance specific activities are considered.

Funding Criteria and Eligibility Requirements

Eligible applicant organizations should generally align with the following criteria:

  • Recognized by the IRS as a tax exempt, public charity under section 501(c)(3) 
  • Located in and serve communities of Western Connecticut
  • Provide educational or welfare opportunities to children and families
  • Be needs-based

 

The following activities are eligible for support:

  • Annual appeals
  • Capital request or campaigns
  • Private elementary and high schools
  • Pre-K schools
  • Vocational training programs
  • Scholarship programs
  • Religious organizations to the extent that the request involves improving the welfare of children or their education
  • Nongovernmental organizations
  • Organizations benefitting childrens' welfare

Information About Requests for Funding

The Foundation accepts a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) through this website.   The LOI should briefly describe the organization, and nature and amount of the request. As the next step in the review process, an application for funding would be considered by invitation only.
